HA-prosper package (version 4.21)

Back to top Introduction

The HA-prosper package for LaTeX provides a way to make nice looking slides using LaTeX. This gives you the opportunity to copy and paste formulas from your papers directly into the presentation. The package has been based on the prosper class but offers a lot of new possibilities and some bug fixes. If you do not have prosper, download it from CTAN. The HA-prosper package is compatible to version 1.24 of prosper. This is the CTAN version. Further information can be found in the documentation of the HA-prosper package.

The available styles implement the additional options and even extend the range of possibilities with extra style specific commands and environments. These styles can be downloaded separately and contain extra documentation. See the download section of this page.

The HA-prosper package includes documentation which will provide you with the details of using this package. Furthermore, the example presentations in the package give a good overview of the possibilities of the package. These examples assume that you downloaded the 'HA' style.

Back to top The powerdot class

This is the last release of the HA-prosper package. We (Christopher Ellison and I) have created a new class called powerdot which has significant improvements over prosper and HA-prosper while keeping changes to presentation sources to a minimum. Over time, the support for HA-prosper via the mailinglist will be minimized and users are advised to use powerdot for new presentations.

Further, information in the documentation was up to date in 2004, but might be outdated by now. The reason of not updating this is that since then all efforts have concentrated on the powerdot class.

Back to top Questions

If you have questions, please first consult the documentation of the package that could possibly answer your question. Probably, you can find the answer in the documentation of either the HA-prosper package, prosper class, the hyperref package or the PSTricks package. Also have a look at WikiProsper for a prosper FAQ, prosper open questions, known prosper bugs, etcetera. If you cannot solve the problem yourself, or if you have comments or requests for additional features, post a message to the HA-prosper mailinglist. Do not forget to include a minimal example when you want help with an error message.

Back to top Download

Please regularly check this page, since I might have updated or improved the package or documentation. Check the version number of your package to find out if you need to download a new package. In case you are using MiKTeX, you can download, install and maintain HA-prosper by using the MiKTeX Package Manager and the MiKTeX Update Wizard. HA-prosper is also available from CTAN:
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/ha-prosper.html
