Geert Hofstede has been affiliated with the CentER for Research in Economics and Business of Tilburg University as an Extramural Fellow for fifteen years. Now the time has come to say goodbye, and for this occasion CentER has organized an international symposium. Distinguished speakers will discuss new applications of Geert's work and will explore future directions of comparative culture research.

Mark F. Peterson, Florida Atlantic University: Extending the Hofstede Tradition to the Cultural Consequences of Within-Nation Cultural Regions

Evert van de Vliert, University of Groningen and University of Bergen: Discovery Trips on Geert's Maps: Exploring the Roots of Culture

Geert Hofstede will respond to the issues raised by the various speakers, and there will be ample opportunity for discussion.
